Shopify Planet
Carbon-neutral shipping
Every Tloom order ships carbon-neutral. We pay for the offset. It is not added at checkout.
- Who pays
- Tloom, on every shipment
- Program
- Shopify Planet, Decade path
- What it covers
- The trip from warehouse to your door
Tloom funds carbon-neutral shipping through Shopify Planet. When an order leaves the warehouse, Planet estimates the emissions of that shipment. We pay to remove the same amount of carbon through projects Shopify has already screened. You do not add a fee at checkout. There is no opt-in box.
The mint badge on a product page or in the cart is that program. More info on the badge opens Shopify's own explainer: how the offset is counted, which kinds of projects it funds, and the public totals for Planet as a whole. That overlay is Shopify's, not a Tloom mock-up.
What the offset covers
Delivery only: the miles, the truck, the last stretch to your door. It is not a claim about how a piece was made, what a mill burned, or the foam in a sofa. If we ever cover those, this page will say so in those words.
How Planet works
Shopify published the method here: Carbon-neutral shipping with the Planet app. In short, Planet prices the shipment, then buys removal from companies Shopify already backs through its climate work. Tloom is on the Decade path: nature-based projects such as reforestation and grassland restoration. Shopify lists those partners on the Planet program, including groups such as Pachama and Grassroots Carbon. Decade is the nearer-term storage path, not the thousand-year engineered one.
Shopify's public climate page is shopify.com/climate. The app listing is Shopify Planet in the App Store.
What you will not see in our numbers
The More info overlay shows Planet's network figures across participating brands, not Tloom's order count. We do not paste those totals onto this page as if they were ours. Tloom pays for every shipment we send. That is the whole local claim.
