• Assembly at home

  Assembly happens at home and the tools you need come in the box, so there is nothing extra to buy. The frame bolts together, then the mattress sets on top. Once built, moving between sitting, lounging, and flat for sleeping is a hand fold with no tools.

  The frame is solid rubberwood held with mortise and tenon joinery, finished in Barbados. Inside the mattress, foam and cotton wrap an innerspring coil core about 8 inches thick. Seat construction is coil spring with medium firmness and a 500-pound weight capacity.

  The frame adjusts through three positions: upright for sitting, a reclined angle for lounging, and completely flat for sleeping. Seat height is 22 inches with 21 inches of depth, and the back rises 26 inches from the seat. Flattened, the sleep surface is a full or double size.

  The frame spans 79 inches wide and 31 inches deep, and weighs 135 pounds assembled. Minimum door width is 22 inches side to side, and front clearance when flattening is about 8 inches. Measure stairwell turns before delivery, since the mattress and wood frame arrive as separate pieces.

  The cover is a linen and polyester blend in a light stone tone rather than a flat solid. Both the seat and back are tufted in even rows, and the fabric runs the same across both cushions. Fold-out tray arms keep the silhouette clean when they sit upright.

  Spot clean spills right away with a water-based cleaner made for upholstery. Skip solvents and harsh chemicals on the linen blend. The Barbados wood frame just needs a dry or barely damp cloth to keep its finish looking even.
