• Assembly at home

  Full assembly is required. The posts, shelves, and brace ship flat and need tools you supply, since the kit does not include them. Plan on two people so you can hold the frame square while you tighten each joint.

• Anchor it to the wall

  A tipover restraint device is included, and an anti-tip kit is recommended. At this height, secure the top of the unit to a wall stud before you load the upper shelves, especially in homes with kids or pets.

• 70 pounds per shelf

  Each of the five fixed shelves is rated to hold 70 pounds. Spread heavier books and baskets across the lower tiers, and keep the load even from side to side so the open frame stays true.

• Books, records, decor

  The 18 inch depth and open sides suit hardcover books, record sleeves, framed photos, and small plants. It is storage you can see, not a closed cabinet, so style the shelves rather than hiding clutter behind doors.

• Poplar and engineered wood

  Posts and shelves use poplar with engineered wood where the span needs it, finished in a single rustic oak tone. You see real wood grain on the shelves; there is no steel frame on this colorway.

• Dust and dry wipe

  Dust the shelves and posts with a soft cloth. For spills, wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry right away. Skip harsh cleaners and soaking water so the finish and wood edges stay intact.

• What ships in the box

  You receive one etagere as a flat pack: posts, five shelves, X-brace hardware, fasteners, and the tipover restraint. Tools for assembly are not included. No separate warranty is published with the piece.
