  Baslow ships in one size, cut to cover a full room rather than sit as a small accent piece. In a living room, aim for the front legs of the sofa and chairs to land on the rug; in a dining room, leave enough rug past the table that a pushed-back chair still stays on it.

• Use a rug pad

  A rug pad is recommended for indoor use, even though the latex backing on the underside already grips a hard floor well on its own. The pad adds a layer of cushion this low pile does not have, and keeps the backing from pressing a mark into a finished floor over months of sitting in one place.
