• How the seats work

  Each seat is a hard tan shell with foldable legs that let you adjust the sitting position. The top is contoured with drain slots. Two seats ship with this tub. People in the photos are styling only.

• Setting up the spa

  Pick level, firm ground or a patio slab and clear stones that could work through the floor. Lay the ground cloth, connect the pump, and inflate the walls from that housing. No tools. The maker says it is ready for water in about 20 minutes. Fill with a garden hose after the sides stand. A tarp or sand bed is optional if your site is rough.

• Water and capacity

  The tub holds 290 gallons at fill and is built for 6 people. The pump sits on one side, so plan additional room beyond the round spa when choosing a location. Filling takes longer than the inflate step. Water depth is the soak, not a swim, so plan on sitting, not standing.

  One pump inflates the walls, heats the water, runs the filter, and drives 170 bubble jets from the floor. Two filter cartridges ship in the box, and a floating chlorine dispenser meters sanitizer into the flow. The tilt-adjustable control panel sits on the pump housing. Plug it into a grounded 110 volt outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

• Safety around the tub

  Supervise children anytime anyone is in or near the water. Never leave a filled spa unattended. There is no ladder; step over the rim carefully and watch footing on wet decks. Standing water this warm is not a pool. Keep the cover on when you are not in it so no one can fall in.

• Care through the season

  Wipe the liner after a soak and keep the insulated cover on to hold heat and keep debris out. Test and balance the water; the chlorine dispenser and test strips are in the box. For winter, drain it, dry it, and store it indoors rather than leaving it inflated outside in a freeze. Clean the filter cartridge on the schedule in the manual.

• Built to take a season

  The wall is puncture-resistant 3-ply laminated vinyl with a Fiber-Tech core of high-strength fibers inside the liner. That is what keeps 290 gallons from bowing a round tub out of shape on a patio. The hard water treatment system cuts calcium buildup on the liner and the pump so the spa stays cleaner through the season.
