Marnau Boedic 1-Light Pendant

One hammered glass bell hangs from a brushed nickel rod. Hardwired and dry-rated, it takes a standard E26 bulb and ships with 6-inch and 12-inch downrods.

A 15-inch clear hammered glass shade hangs open at the bottom, so the bulb stays in view. Light is ambient through the dimpled glass, and the brushed nickel socket and rod read as one line.

• Hammered glass bell shade

  The clear glass shade takes a wide-shouldered bell shape, similar to a jug, and the surface is gently hammered rather than smooth, so it reads textured instead of flat. It stays open at the bottom, so the bulb and the brushed nickel hardware above it both stay in view.

• Warm light through ripples

  Because the glass is hammered rather than flat, light passing through it breaks into small ripples across the shade instead of one even glow. With the bulb left fully exposed and visible from below, the fixture works well as a single warm point of light over a table or a kitchen island, not as a bright overall room light.

• Hardwired, tools not included

  This pendant is hardwired, not plug-in, so it wires into a ceiling electrical box and an electrician should make the connections. It ships partly assembled, and finishing the mount takes your own screwdriver, since one is not included in the box. A sloped ceiling adapter is included if your ceiling is angled rather than flat.

• Adjustable hang height

  The pendant hangs on a rod rather than a chain, and it ships with two 6-inch and two 12-inch downrod sections you combine to set the drop. Overall height from the ceiling reaches up to 59 inches, so you can hang it low over a table or higher in an entry with taller ceilings.

• Standard E26 bulb

  The single socket takes a standard E26 medium-base bulb, up to 100 watts, and the bulb is not included. The fixture is dimmable, but that takes a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch as well, and neither one ships with it.

• Dry rated, UL listed

  This fixture is rated for dry locations only, which covers a normal indoor room. It carries UL and ETL listings for safety, but it is not damp or wet rated, so keep it out of a shower, a bath tub area, or anywhere it would take direct water.

• Cleaning with a dry cloth

  Wipe the glass shade and the brushed nickel hardware with a dry, soft cloth to clear dust and fingerprints and keep the glass clear. Skip glass cleaner or any wet cloth on the metal parts, and dust the exposed bulb gently whenever you change it.

• What ships in the box

  This pendant arrives with the glass shade, brushed nickel rod, canopy, sloped ceiling adapter, and downrod sections included and ready to assemble. A bulb is not included, so plan on one E26 bulb, and add a dimmer switch and dimmable bulb separately if you want it to dim.
