Marnau Bonoet 1-Light Pendant

One clear glass bell hangs from a matte black rod. Hardwired and dry-rated, it takes a standard E26 bulb and ships with three downrods.

A 14-inch clear glass shade hangs open at the bottom, so the bulb stays in view. Light is ambient, not shaded, and the matte black socket and rod read as a single line through the glass.

• Clear glass globe shade

  A single clear glass shade takes a rounded globe shape, wide through the middle and open at the bottom, so nothing hides the bulb or the matte black hardware inside. The glass itself is uninterrupted, with no seams or ribbing to break up the curve.

• Bulb on full display

  With no interior shade or diffuser, the bulb hangs in plain view at the center of the globe and reads as the fixture's main feature, on or off. Light spreads outward through the clear glass in every direction, closer to a single bright point than a soft, even wash.

• Hardwired, electrician recommended

  This pendant is hardwired, not plug-in, so it wires into a ceiling junction box rather than a wall outlet, and professional installation is recommended: have an electrician make the connections. Assembly is required to attach the canopy and downrod, and a sloped ceiling adapter is required if your ceiling is not flat.

• Downrods set the drop

  The pendant hangs on a rigid rod rather than a chain, and it ships with 6-inch, 12-inch, and 18-inch downrod sections to combine for the drop you want, reaching just over four feet at maximum length. That gives enough range to hang it low over a table or higher in a room with taller ceilings.

• One E26 bulb

  The single socket takes a standard E26 medium-base bulb, up to 60 watts, and it is not included, so you will need to buy one separately. The fixture works with a standard wall dimmer, but that takes a dimmable bulb as well as the dimmer switch itself, and neither ships with the fixture.

• Dry rated only

  This fixture is rated for dry locations, so keep it in a normal indoor room rather than a kitchen backsplash area or a bathroom that sees steam and splashing water. It is UL and cUL listed and meets CSA safety standards, but a dry rating is not the same as a damp or wet rating.

• Cleaning the glass and hardware

  Wipe the glass shade with a dry, soft cloth or a glass cleaner made for glass to keep it clear and free of fingerprints. Dust the matte black hardware with a dry cloth as well, and skip abrasive pads, since they can scratch both the glass and the finish.

• What ships in the box

  This pendant arrives with the glass shade, matte black canopy, and all three downrod sections included, ready for an electrician to wire in. A bulb is not included, so plan on one E26 bulb, and add a compatible dimmer switch separately if you want to dim the light.
