Seven candelabra bulbs sit in a 46.5-inch matte-black rectangle of ice-textured glass. Hardwired and chain-hung, it is dry-rated and ships with a sloped-ceiling adapter.

The cage is 46.5 inches wide and 15 inches deep, with vertical rippled-glass slats around seven brass sockets. Light comes through the ice texture as a warm wash, so the island reads lit without seven bare lamps in view.

• A rectangular cage of ice glass

  A long black rectangular frame holds vertical slats of clear, ice-textured glass on all four sides, so light scatters through a rippled surface instead of showing bare bulbs. The cage measures 46.5 inches wide, 15 inches deep, and 11.2 inches tall, sized for a long island or a rectangular table.

• Warm light through rippled glass

  Seven brass candelabra sockets line up along the black frame under the glass, so lit up the fixture reads as a warm row of small flames refracted through the ice texture rather than one bright source. It suits a kitchen island or a long dining table better than a single small room.

• Hardwired to a junction box

  This is a hardwired fixture, not a plug-in lamp, so a rectangular black canopy bar wires into a ceiling junction box; have an electrician make the connection if you are not doing it yourself. The canopy includes a sloped-ceiling adapter, so it also mounts on an angled ceiling over a stairwell or a vaulted kitchen.

• Chain-hung, adjustable to height

  It hangs from two chains, not a rigid rod, with 59 inches of adjustable chain so you can shorten or lengthen the drop after it is mounted. Minimum hang height is 21 inches and the overall maximum with chain fully extended is 78.7 inches, enough to clear a tall kitchen island.

• Candelabra bulbs, not included

  Each of the seven sockets takes a standard E12 candelabra-base bulb, up to 40 watts, and bulbs are not included, so plan on seven before it can be installed. The fixture is dimmable, but only with a dimmable bulb in every socket and a compatible dimmer switch wired in, both sold separately.

• Dry rated, indoors only

  This fixture is dry-rated, meaning it is listed for enclosed indoor rooms only, not a bathroom near a shower or an uncovered porch. Dry is the base rating, a step below damp and short of a wet-location listing, so keep it away from any direct moisture.

• Cleaning the ice-textured glass

  Dust the glass slats and the matte black frame with a soft, dry cloth, working along the ripples in the glass rather than scrubbing across them. Skip household glass cleaner on the brass sockets, and always cut power at the switch before wiping near a bulb.

• What is in the box

  The black frame, glass slats, chains, canopy bar, and mounting hardware all come in the box, along with the sloped-ceiling adapter, ready to wire to your junction box. Bulbs are not included, so plan on seven E12 candelabra bulbs, and a dimmer switch if you want it to dim.
