Marnau Irus 12-Light Wagon Wheel Chandelier

Twelve candle lights sit on a 40-inch aged-zinc wagon wheel. Hardwired and chain-hung, it takes candelabra bulbs and works on a sloped ceiling.

The fixture holds twelve candelabra sockets on one metal ring, 40 inches across. Light goes up from the candles, so the room gets an ambient wash without a cluster of downward spots.

• An open wagon wheel

  A circular steel ring sits on curved spokes that cross beneath it like the underside of a wheel, tapering up to a single center column and the chain. The whole piece spans 40 inches wide, 40 inches deep, and 35 inches tall, finished in a dark, aged zinc metal.

• Twelve candles, one open tier

  Twelve candelabra sockets sit upright around the rim in a single open tier, not stacked rings, so the light reads as an upward ambient glow rather than a downlight. Since the fixture is handmade, expect small variations in the aged finish from one piece to the next.

• Hardwired, and plan a ladder

  This is a hardwired fixture, not a plug-in lamp, so an electrician needs to connect it to your ceiling junction box. All mounting hardware is included, but at 40 inches wide and 17 pounds, plan on a ladder and a second set of hands to get it into place. It is also sloped-ceiling compatible.

• Ninety-six inches of chain

  It hangs from a 96-inch chain, not a rigid rod, so you can adjust the drop to fit your ceiling and trim off any extra links. Overall height with the chain fully extended reaches 135 inches, and the round canopy at the top covers 5 inches of ceiling.

• Candelabra bulbs, not included

  Each of the twelve sockets takes a standard E12 candelabra-base bulb, B10 candle shape, up to 60 watts, and none are included, so plan on twelve before you turn it on. It works with a dimmer or a smart controller, but dimming still needs a dimmable bulb in every socket, sold separately.

• Dry rated, UL listed

  This fixture is dry-rated for standard indoor rooms, so keep it out of a bathroom, an uncovered porch, or anywhere near direct moisture. It is UL listed, and dry-rated is the base tier, a step short of a damp or wet-location rating.

• Care, and swapping the sleeves

  Dust the metal spokes and candle sockets with a soft, dry cloth, working into the curves rather than scrubbing across the finish. Skip household metal cleaners, which can strip the aged zinc look. The candle sleeves and bobeches are replaceable later if you want to refresh the style.

• What is in the box

  The steel wheel frame, chain, canopy, and mounting hardware all come in the box, ready to wire to your junction box. Bulbs are not included, so plan on twelve E12 candelabra bulbs, and bring your own ladder, since the fixture spans 40 inches across.
