Six lights sit inside a 24-inch beige linen-blend drum. Hardwired, rod-hung, and damp-rated, it takes candelabra bulbs and works on a sloped ceiling.

The fixture holds six bulbs behind a beige linen-blend drum, 24 inches across. Light comes through the shade as a soft wash, with a downlight at the hub, so the table below is lit without a cluster of bare lamps in view.

• A drum shade on square arms

  A round drum shade in woven beige linen sits above four square brass arms and one taller center post, each holding its own socket. The shade spans 24 inches wide and 8 inches tall, over a body that runs 24 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 18.5 inches tall, finished in antique brass.

• Five up, one down, one tier

  Five candelabra bulbs sit up under the shade, four on the square arms and one on the center post, while a sixth bulb, a rounder medium-base type, hangs at the very center pointing straight down for light on the table. All six sit in one shade, not stacked tiers, and a built-in 3-way switch lets you run the uplight, the downlight, or both.

• Hardwired, with a few tools

  This is a hardwired fixture, not a plug-in lamp, so an electrician needs to connect it to your ceiling junction box. Plan on a screwdriver, pliers, a utility knife, and a power drill for assembly, since none of those tools come in the box. It is also sloped-ceiling compatible.

• Rod or wire, your choice

  Three rigid downrod sections, 6, 12, and 18 inches, combine for 36 inches of rod and set the overall maximum height at 54.5 inches. For a taller ceiling, swap the rod for the included 8 feet of wire instead, trimmed to whatever length you need, under a 5.13-inch canopy.

• Two bulb types, not included

  Five sockets take a standard E12 candelabra-base bulb, up to 60 watts, and the sixth, at the center, takes a medium E26 base R20 bulb, up to 50 watts, for the downlight. None are included, so plan on both types before you turn it on. It is dimmable, but only with a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch, both sold separately.

• Damp rated, not wet rated

  This fixture is damp-rated, so it can hang in a bathroom outside the direct shower spray, under a covered porch, or in another partly protected spot, a step up from a dry-only rating. It is ETL and cETL listed, but damp-rated is still short of a wet-location fixture, so keep it away from open water or direct rain.

• Cleaning the linen and brass

  Dust the antique brass arms with a soft, dry cloth, and spot clean the linen shade rather than soaking the fabric. Skip household glass or metal cleaners, which can strip the brass finish, and always cut power at the switch before wiping near a bulb.

• What is in the box

  The drum shade, canopy, three downrod sections, and 8 feet of wire all come in the box, along with the mounting hardware for your ceiling. Bulbs are not included, and neither are the tools: plan on your own screwdriver, pliers, utility knife, and power drill for assembly.
