Six lights sit behind three stacked rope tiers that step outward from top to bottom. The open weave lets a soft, textured glow through instead of a bare bulb view.

• Three tiers of handwoven rope

  Each tier is wound by hand from honey-tan rope over a distressed gold frame, so the weave carries small variations across its surface. The three stacked rings give the fixture depth from every angle, which keeps it from reading like a plain drum shade.

• The light it throws

  The honey-tan open weave lets light through the sides as well as down, so you get a soft, textured glow instead of a hard pool on the table. Six lamps sit inside the rings, and the gaps between tiers let some of that light wash the ceiling.

• Hardwired installation

  This fixture is hardwired, not plug in. It mounts to a standard ceiling junction box, and the canopy covers the connection once the wiring is done. If you are not comfortable working in a live box, have an electrician handle the install; it is a short job for a pro.

• Setting the hang height

  It hangs from a 39 inch adjustable chain, so you can set the height to suit the room rather than living with a fixed drop. The chain suits a sloped ceiling too, which means the fixture still hangs level under an angled one.

• Bulbs and dimming

  The six sockets take E12 candelabra bulbs, incandescent or LED, up to 40 watts each. Bulbs are not included, so order them with the fixture. It dims only if you pair a dimmable bulb with a compatible dimmer switch, and neither one comes in the box.

• Rated for dry indoor rooms

  This honey-tan rope fixture is for dry indoor locations: dining rooms, entries, bedrooms, and living rooms. It is not rated for damp or wet spaces, so skip the bathroom with an open shower, a covered porch, or anywhere it would meet steam or rain.

• Care and re-lamping

  Dust the rope with a dry cloth or a vacuum brush attachment; do not soak it, since water can mark natural fiber. Wipe the gold frame clean with a soft dry cloth. The open bottom means you can reach up and change a bulb without taking the shades off.

• What arrives in the box

  The chandelier arrives assembled: the distressed gold frame with all three honey-tan rope tiers in place, plus the canopy and the adjustable chain. Bulbs are not included, and a dimmer switch is not in the box either. Add both to your order if you want to dim it.
