Five frosted glass shades sit on a 43.75-inch linear bar. Hardwired, rod-hung, and damp-rated, it takes standard A19 bulbs and hangs over an island.

The bar holds five bulbs behind white frosted, hand-blown glass cylinders, 6.75 inches tall. Light goes down through the shade, so the island reads lit without a cluster of bare lamps in view.

• Five cylinders, one clean bar

  Five white frosted glass cylinders hang flush against a brushed nickel bar, capped tight to the metal with no gap or stem showing between glass and finish. The line reads as one long, low band over the island rather than a row of separate pendants.

• Soft light, straight down

  Frosted glass diffuses each bulb into a soft, even glow instead of a sharp point, so the island under it reads lit rather than glared at. Five sockets in a row spread that glow the length of the bar instead of pooling under one center light.

• Hardwired, built for flat ceilings

  This pendant is hardwired into a ceiling junction box at two mounting points, so it needs an electrician rather than an outlet. It is built for a flat ceiling, not a sloped or vaulted one, and assembly takes a drill, a screwdriver, pliers, and a utility knife.

• Two rods, three downrod lengths

  It hangs from two chains that connect to rigid rods, not one center point, and ships with three downrod lengths, 6 inches, 12 inches, and 18 inches, two of each, to mix for your ceiling. The body itself sits 18.5 inches tall, so add that to whichever rods you use for total drop.

• A19 bulbs, not included

  Each of the five sockets is a standard E26 base built for an A19 bulb, up to 100 watts, and bulbs are not included. That is a brighter bulb than most pendants call for, so five of them over an island throws real task light, not just ambiance. Dimming needs a dimmable bulb in every socket plus a separate dimmer switch, both bought on their own.

• Damp-rated, not wet-rated

  The fixture carries a damp rating with ETL and cETL listing, which covers a kitchen or a bath outside direct shower spray. A damp rating is not a wet rating, so keep it out of a shower stall or anywhere it could take direct water.

• Wipe the bar, dust the glass

  Wipe the brushed nickel bar with a dry cloth to keep the finish from spotting, and clean the glass cylinders with a barely damp cloth rather than an abrasive pad. Turn the fixture off and let the bulbs cool before you dust close to a socket or lift a shade free.

• Ships as parts, no bulbs

  The bar, five glass shades, chains, rods, and canopy arrive ready to assemble with a drill, screwdriver, pliers, and utility knife; bulbs are not included, and neither is a dimmer switch if you want the fixture on one. Plan on an electrician for the hardwired connection once assembly is done.
