The tapered shades read like classic candle covers, so six points of warm light ring the room without a single bulb showing. Arm to arm, the fixture spans 27 inches wide and stands 24.5 inches tall before the chain adds any height.

• Brass finish, easy to place

  The warm brass finish runs the full length of the arms and center stem, giving the piece one continuous, symmetrical shape. It reads equally at home over a round dining table, in an entry, or above a bed, and the curved arms bridge a traditional silhouette with a more modern, pared-back shade.

• Hardwired, with hardware included

  This fixture is hardwired, not plug-in, so it mounts to a ceiling junction box rather than a lamp cord. Mounting hardware and instructions are included, assembly is required, and two people make the ceiling mount easier to manage. It is also built to work on sloped ceilings, not just flat ones.

Keep it away from tubs, showers, and other wet spots, and let a licensed electrician handle the hardwired connection if you are not comfortable doing it yourself.

• Dust and wipe, nothing more

  The six shades are genuine ivory linen fabric, not a printed plastic look, so treat them like you would any fabric lampshade: dust lightly with a dry cloth or a soft brush, and never soak or scrub them. Dust the brass arms and stem the same way, with a soft, dry cloth, and skip household glass or metal cleaners that could dull the finish.

  Mounting hardware, instructions, and a chain with two quick links are included with the fixture. Bulbs are not included, so pick up six E12 candelabra bulbs before install day. A two-year limited warranty is also included.
