Marnau Raguenes 1-Light Dome Pendant

One downlight sits in a 23.6-inch hammered gold dome. Hardwired and dry-rated, it hangs on a wire, takes a standard E26 bulb, and works on a sloped ceiling.

The fixture is a 23.6-inch metal dome in a hand-painted gold finish, hammered inside and out. One light points down, so the bowl throws a warm wash on the table without a cluster of bare lamps in view.

• One dome, hammered gold

  A wide dome in hammered brass metal hangs alone on a thin black cord, its surface dimpled edge to edge both inside and out rather than smooth. The interior carries the same warm gold finish as the outside, so the glow underneath reads rich rather than stark.

• One warm pool of light

  With a single bulb inside a solid metal dome, light spills down and out past the rim in one warm pool rather than scattering around the room. Centered low over a small table or a reading nook, it lights that one spot directly rather than the whole space.

• Hardwired into a junction box

  This pendant is hardwired into a ceiling junction box, so it needs an electrician rather than an outlet. It works on a sloped ceiling as well as a flat one, ships partly assembled, and needs a screwdriver to finish putting it together.

• Cord sets the hang height

  It hangs on a black cord rather than a chain or rigid rod, adjustable from 14 inches up to 92.32 inches of overall height with 78.74 inches of cord in the box. Keep it low and close over a small table, or let more cord out for a taller room.

• ST64 bulb, not included

  The single socket is a standard E26 base built for an ST64 bulb, up to 60 watts, and the bulb is not included. Because the dome is solid metal with no glass, the bulb itself stays hidden from view, so a plain bulb works as well as a decorative one. Dimming needs a dimmable bulb plus a separate dimmer switch, neither included.

• Dry-rated, not wet-rated

  The fixture carries a dry-location rating and a cETL safety listing, which covers a dining room, living room, or entry that stays dry. A dry rating is not a damp or wet rating, so keep it off a covered porch or anywhere steam or rain could reach the socket.

• Wipe with a dry cloth

  Wipe the hammered metal with a dry cloth to clear dust from the textured surface, and avoid ammonia or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the gold finish over time. Turn the fixture off and let the bulb cool before you dust close to the socket.

• Ships partly built, no bulb

  The dome, cord, and canopy arrive partly assembled; finishing it takes just a screwdriver. The bulb is not included, and neither is a dimmer switch if you want the fixture on one. Plan on an electrician for the hardwired connection once assembly is done.
