  • Start with the Rough-In

    This trim is the finished control surface for a shower system, so plan the installation around a compatible rough-in valve behind the wall. Confirm the valve configuration, wall opening, and intended shower functions before closing the finished wall.

  • Choose the Valve First

    Compatible rough-in valves are R1051BV, R1052BD, and R1055BD, each rated 6.7 GPM and sold separately. Match the valve to the way your shower will turn on, control volume, and divert water before ordering.

  • Set Temperature

    The bottom handle sets temperature. Its role is described consistently across the compatible valve configurations, while the top handle changes its flow or diverter function according to the rough-in valve selected for the installation.

  • Direct the Water

    With R1051BV, the top handle controls on/off and volume. With R1052BD, it diverts water two ways and controls volume. With R1055BD, it can provide dedicated flow to three functions and up to two shared functions.

  • Plan the Finished Wall
