The ROHL Graceline Pressure Balance Trim brings the streamlined shape of a 1930s ocean liner to the shower wall, its Satin Nickel finish, rounded neck and knurled crosshatch spout paired with nautical details on the handle. Designed by Michael Berman for House of Rohl, it turns a plain valve into a piece of American Moderne styling for a contemporary or transitional bathroom.

One control sets both temperature and volume, and the trim can run a stand-alone showerhead or, with a tub spout that has its own diverter, a showerhead and tub spout together. It comes with a single-function cartridge and pairs with the House of Rohl R51 pressure balance rough-in valve, ordered separately, for a complete brass, rust resistant shower system.

• Care

  Graceline's brass body is built rust resistant, so daily splashes and steam will not wear down the finish. A soft cloth and a quick wipe after each shower keep the handle and spout looking sharp, without any special cleaners or routines needed to maintain the satin nickel surface.

  A single handle on the trim controls both temperature and volume in one motion, taking the shower from off to a comfortable stream without separate dials. The handle is the trim's only control, working with the pressure balance mechanism inside the wall to keep the water steady.

• Installation

  Installation pairs the trim with the compatible R51 pressure balance rough-in valve, which a licensed plumber sets into the wall before attaching the trim. All mounting hardware needed to secure the trim is included, so no separate hardware needs to be sourced beyond the rough-in valve.

  The trim is crafted from brass and finished in satin nickel, a soft, low-sheen tone that reads warm against tile and stone. Design details like the rounded neck and a knurled crosshatch pattern on the spout carry the Graceline collection's 1930s-inspired, American Moderne character.

  Once connected to the compatible R51 valve, the trim can run either a stand-alone showerhead, or a showerhead together with a tub spout, as long as that tub spout has its own integrated diverter to route the water between the two. The single handle keeps the stream steady throughout.
