Tessmar Kirkja Boucle Swivel Armchair

A 34 inch wide swivel barrel chair on a black metal base, with a solid pine frame, cotton-and-foam cushioning, and a 300 pound rating.

Overall footprint is 29 inches high, 34 inches wide, and 32.7 inches deep. The seat itself is 24.8 by 24.8 inches, so the extra width sits in the recessed arms, not the cushion.

• Rounded barrel shape, recessed arms

The back and arms curve into one continuous shell with no visible seam, and the arms sit recessed rather than jutting out, keeping the profile tailored instead of boxy. A rectangular lumbar cushion leans against the back for extra support.

• 360 degree swivel base

The chair turns a full 360 degrees on a low black metal base, so you can face the window, the television, or the doorway without lifting or dragging it. It stays put at whatever angle you leave it, ready to turn again the next time you sit down.

• Ships fully assembled

No assembly is required. It ships fully assembled and ready to place, so there is no hardware to attach and no tools to find before you can sit down.

• Solid pine frame, foam seat

The frame is solid pine under the upholstery, paired with a cotton-filled back cushion and a foam seat cushion beneath you. The foam compresses under weight and holds its shape rather than flattening out after months of use.

• Seat height and depth

Seat height is 16.5 inches on a 24.8 by 24.8 inch cushion, with a 12.6 inch seat back rising above it, deep enough to sit cross legged or curl up sideways. The included lumbar pillow adds support for your lower back while you lounge.

• Doorway and stairwell clearance

At 34 inches wide and 32.7 inches deep, the chair clears most standard doorways and stair turns without needing to tip it on its side. It ships as one piece, fully assembled, so there are no boxes of parts to carry in and no assembly to finish once it is inside.

• Nubby boucle upholstery texture

The cover is a polyester blend boucle in a warm amber brown, with a nubby, looped weave that catches the light unevenly across the curves. The texture reads soft and tactile rather than sleek, and hides light surface marks between cleanings.

• Blot stains, water based only

Clean with water-based cleaning agents only; skip solvents and dry cleaning products, which can damage the boucle loops. Blot spills right away with a clean cloth rather than rubbing, so the texture does not mat down in one spot.

• What arrives with the chair

The chair arrives fully assembled with the lumbar pillow already in place, ready to sit in the moment it is unboxed.

Good to know

• Tape a 34 by 32.7 inch footprint, and leave room around it for the base to turn.
• Seat height is 16.5 inches. Check that against chairs you already own.
• It ships fully assembled at 50 pounds, so it is a one-person carry into place.
• Keep 300 pounds in mind as the listed capacity on the pine frame.
