  The canopy opens to 100.79 inches across and the umbrella stands 98.82 inches tall, which is shade for a round or square dining table and the chairs pulled up to it rather than for one seat. Measure your table and its chairs against that span before you order.

• Short assembly, one person

  Assembly is required and it is short. No power tools are needed, and the canopy is not removable, so it arrives already fitted to the ribs with nothing to thread or sew. Set the pole into a weighted base or through a table hole, then turn the crank. The whole umbrella weighs 12.67 pounds.

• Close it, clean it, store it

  Crank the canopy closed whenever you leave the patio, and always before wind picks up, since an open canopy catches a gust like a sail. Wipe the fabric with mild soap and water, then let it dry open. A protective cover is not included, and at the end of the season the umbrella should be stored closed and indoors.
