Wulfern Makra Acacia Conversation Set

A four piece acacia conversation set: one loveseat, two club chairs, and a rectangular coffee table, with beige water resistant cushions and navy and white throw pillows.

Four pieces come in the box: one acacia loveseat, two matching club chairs, and one rectangular coffee table, plus the beige seat and back cushions and the navy and white accent pillows. A cover is not included.

• Putting it together

Assembly is required, and one person can do it. That mostly means fitting the legs and the stretchers, then seating the cushions. Keep the hardware bags sorted by piece to make the job go faster.

• Solid acacia frames

The loveseat, both chairs, and the table are solid acacia, a dense hardwood outdoor furniture uses for its natural oil content. The finish is a natural warm tone rather than a grey wash, and a distinctive double-X motif runs through the sides of each seating piece.

• The beige cushions

Each seat takes a beige foam cushion with a matching back. The cushions are water resistant, and the set ships with navy and white throw pillows. The covers are polyester. Store the soft parts indoors or under a cover when a wet stretch is coming.

• Comfort and seat size

These are lounge club chairs and a loveseat, set low for conversation rather than for dining. The loveseat is about 50.4 inches wide; each chair is about 23.2 inches wide and 26.4 inches deep, at a 32.5 inch overall height. Seat height is 13.6 inches. Four people sit across the set.

• Weather and water resistance

The frames are weather resistant and the cushions are water resistant, which covers a rain shower on a covered porch or a patio. Water resistant is not the same as waterproof, so a set left out through a wet season ages faster than one that gets some shelter.

• Weight capacity

Each chair is rated to 275 pounds. That figure is per seat rather than for the whole set, and it covers normal sitting rather than standing on the frame. The coffee table is a light piece at about 19 pounds, meant for drinks and a book.

• Care and off-season storage

Care is simple: wipe the wood and the cushion covers with mild soap and a damp cloth. Dust regularly. Bring the cushions and pillows indoors over winter while the acacia frames stay put under a cover or move into a garage or a shed. Avoid bleach and power tools.

• Measuring for your patio

Tape out the loveseat at about 50 inches wide, two chairs at about 23 by 26 inches each, and the table at about 40 by 20 inches. On a balcony the set was designed for, face the chairs toward the loveseat with the table between them; leave walking room around the rectangle.

Good to know

• Tape 50 by 30 inches for the loveseat; 23 by 26 inches per chair.
• The coffee table adds about 40 by 20 inches between the seats.
• Seat rating is 275 pounds per chair, not for the whole set.
• Assembly is required. One person can put the set together.
