• Espresso flat strand weave

  Flat strands of synthetic rattan are woven in a tight over and under basket pattern across the side rails, the base panel and the head end. The tone is a dark espresso that reads close to black in shade and warms toward brown in direct light.

• Almost nothing to build

  The lounger arrives built. The legs bolt on with four screws and the cushions drop straight into place, so one person can have it out on the deck in about fifteen minutes. Hand tools only, and the hardware is in the box.

• Made to stay outside

  The rattan is woven over an aluminum frame, so there is nothing in the structure to rust. The weave is rated water, mold and mildew and UV resistant, which is what keeps it from chalking or fading through a full season of sun and rain.

• Three angles to lie back

  A steel bracket under the back sets three reclining angles, from upright for reading to laid back for the sun. The seat is 15.5 inches off the ground, about dining chair height, so it is easy to get in and out of.

• Two cushions, two inches thick

  A back cushion and a seat cushion ship on the lounger in Mocha. The covers are polyester over polyurethane foam at 1.7 pounds per cubic foot, each pad is two inches thick, and the source measures them at 27 inches and 25 inches along the frame. Both covers come off.

• Rated to 330 pounds

  The weight capacity is 330 pounds, enough to support an adult stretched out full length. The lounger itself weighs only 29 pounds, so one person can lift the foot end and walk it around the deck through the afternoon to follow the sun.

• Care and the off season

  Wipe the weave down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Take the cushions in when rain is forecast and store them dry over winter, or leave a furniture cover on the whole lounger to keep grit out of the weave.
