• Assembly and hardware

  This bed ships unassembled and goes together with the included hardware over a few hours. The manufactured wood slats screw into the steel and wood frame, and the headboard, footboard, and rails bolt together, so plan on basic tools and a second person for the heavier panels.

  Twelve manufactured wood slats span the frame and carry the mattress directly, so there is no box spring to buy or store. Center support legs run underneath the platform for extra reinforcement, and metal block legs lift the whole frame off the floor.

  This frame is built for Queen, King, and California King mattresses, so check your mattress size against the frame before you order. Any spring, memory foam, latex, or hybrid mattress rests directly on the slats, with no separate foundation needed beyond what ships with the frame.

  Floor clearance runs about 2.4 inches under the frame, room for slim storage bins but not a tall one underneath. The stepped headboard rises well above the pillow line at the center panel, stepping down in height toward each outer edge for its layered look.
