Marnau Brannec Floor Lamp

A 62-inch floor lamp with a beige linen drum and a wood stem on a black round base. Plug-in, two pull chains, two standard bulbs.

Two E26 sockets sit under the drum, 60 watts max each. Each has its own pull chain with a brass weight, so you can run one bulb or both. Bulbs are not in the box.

• Slim wood post, black base

  A single wood post rises from a flat, round black metal base, with a short black metal neck just below the shade meeting the wood in a clean line. The look reads mid-century, with the natural wood grain left visible rather than painted over.

• Linen shade throws a soft glow

  The drum shade is woven linen in a warm neutral tone, and light passes through the fabric itself as well as down through the open bottom, so the glow spreads in more than one direction. It works well as ambient light next to a reading chair or over a seating area, rather than a single bright beam aimed at a page.

• Plug-in, simple to set up

  This is a plug-in floor lamp, not a hardwired fixture, so there is no wiring to install and no electrician to call. A cord runs down the back of the post to a standard wall outlet, and the two pull-chain switches hang below the shade where you can reach them from a seated chair.

• Overall height and placement

  Overall height is 62 inches from the base to the top of the shade, tall enough to stand beside a chair or the arm of a sofa without you having to bend down to reach the pull chains. The shade sits above shoulder height when seated, so light spreads down and out across the seating area instead of shining straight into your eyes.

• Two E26 bulbs, independent

  Each of the two sockets under the shade takes a standard E26 medium-base bulb, up to 60 watts, and both bulbs are sold separately. The two pull chains switch each socket on its own, so you can run one bulb for a lower light or both together for a brighter room.

• Dry rated, indoor use

  This lamp is rated for dry indoor locations only, so keep it out of a bathroom, a covered porch, or anywhere near standing water or heavy moisture. It is UL and cUL listed for safety, but that dry rating does not extend to a damp or wet space.

• Dusting the shade and post

  Dust the linen shade with a soft brush or the brush attachment on a vacuum to lift dust out of the weave without flattening it; spot clean only if needed, since soaking the fabric can leave a ring. Wipe the wood post and black metal base with a dry cloth to keep the finish clean.

• What ships, assembly required

  This lamp arrives with the base, wood post, neck, and linen shade included, ready to assemble; a screw or two secures the base to the post before the shade sets on top. Bulbs are not included, so plan on two E26 bulbs to get both sockets working.
