• Mounted on short rod arms

  It mounts on short rod arms, not a long downrod or chain, so it does not hang low. Overall height is 11 inches from the ceiling, which works well in a room with a lower ceiling.

• Hardwired to a junction box

  This is a hardwired fixture, not a plug-in lamp, so it wires directly into a ceiling electrical box behind the canopy. Have an electrician make the connections, then screw the canopy and rod arms over the junction box to finish the mount.

• Standard A19 bulbs and dimming

  Each of the three sockets takes a standard E26 medium-base bulb, sized A19, 60 watts max. Bulbs are not included. The fixture is dimmable, so add a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch to get a low glow.

• Damp-rated and UL listed

  This fixture is damp-rated, so it can hang in a bathroom outside the shower spray or under a covered porch. It is cUL and UL listed, but it is not rated for wet, direct-exposure locations, so keep it away from open water.

• Where it works best

  A damp rating makes this a good fit for a bathroom vanity area away from the shower spray, an entryway, or a covered porch. Skip an uncovered exterior spot or anywhere it would take rain directly, since damp-rated is not the same as wet-rated.

• What ships in the box

  The canopy, rod arms, and clear glass shade are already assembled and included in the box. Bulbs and a dimmer switch are not included, so plan on three E26 A19 bulbs and, if you want dimming, a compatible dimmer switch.

• Cleaning and everyday care

  Wipe the glass shade and satin nickel canopy with a soft, dry cloth to keep them clear of dust and fingerprints. Skip household glass cleaners on the metal finish, and dust the sockets gently whenever you change a bulb.
