• A gradient, not a print

  The color moves from deep navy at the top edge to pale grey at the bottom in streaky, uneven bands, more like a weathered wash than a repeating motif. There is no border and no medallion: the gradient is the only pattern doing the work in the room.

• A clean, bound edge

  Machine woven on a loom rather than hand knotted, so the texture is fine and consistent edge to edge with no irregular knots. Every side is finished with a stitched navy trim that keeps the pile from fraying loose at the border.

• Vacuum and blot, skip steam

  Vacuum it regularly to lift grit before it works into the fibers. Blot a spill right away with a cloth; polypropylene does not soak up liquid, so it sits on the surface long enough to lift clean. Skip the steam cleaner and skip soaking, since the jute backing underneath should stay dry.

• Polypropylene face, jute back

  The face is polypropylene, machine woven into a low, dense pile measured at 0.38 inches: low enough to sit flat under furniture, dense enough that heavy footsteps do not carve a visible path. The backing on the underside is jute, woven flat rather than coated in rubber, so the underside itself is fabric, not plastic.

• A pad helps it stay put

  A rug pad is not included and is worth adding, especially over the hardwood or tile this rug is designed to sit on. The jute backing has some texture but is not a rubber grip, so a thin pad underneath stops it from creeping out of place and adds a layer of cushion underfoot.

• Minimal shedding, a few creases

  Because this rug is woven, not hand tufted, there are no cut yarn ends to work loose, so shedding stays minimal from the first vacuum onward. Expect a few travel creases from packaging; give the rug room to lie flat and they settle out as it acclimates to the room.

• Six sizes, no runner

  Six sizes span 9 by 12 feet up to 11 by 15 feet in rectangles, plus 10 and 11 foot rounds and a 10 foot square; there is no runner cut in this pattern. The round and square sizes fit a round table without the rug running out past the pulled-back chairs, and the smallest option already covers a full room, not just an accent spot.

• Built for daily traffic

• One rug, pad not included

  It arrives as one rug only. A pad, non-slip tape, and grippers are not included, so add those separately if the floor underneath needs extra grip. Whichever of the six sizes is chosen at checkout is exactly what arrives; the dimensions are fixed, not cut to order.
