  A polished chrome ring sits at the top, with five tiers of clear cut crystal prisms stepping down below it to a single point. Each tier is narrower than the one above it, so the fixture reads full at the rim and funnels to a fine point underneath.

• The light it throws

  Twelve bulbs sit hidden behind the crystal, so lit, the fixture reads as a glowing column of facets rather than individual points of light, with prisms scattering the glow across the ceiling and walls nearby. Expect a bright, dressy wash over a table, not a soft ambient light.

• Twelve E12 bulbs, not included

  Twelve sockets take E12 candelabra bulbs, 40 watts max, and none ship with the fixture, so budget for a full set before it goes up. The listing calls it dimmable, but that only works once you add a dimmable bulb and wire the room to a separate dimmer switch, both extra.

• Cleaning the crystal tiers

  Wipe each crystal prism and the chrome ring with a soft, dry cloth to keep dust from dulling the sparkle. Skip household glass cleaner on the metal frame, and dust the tiers from top to bottom so you do not push grime onto the layer below.

• Chain hung, height adjustable

  It hangs from a 39.4 inch chain at a round canopy, not a fixed rod, so an installer can shorten the chain to set the drop over a table, up to 82.5 inches overall. A sloped ceiling adapter is included if your ceiling angles.
