A 16-inch brushed nickel geometric lantern with six frosted glass shades, chain-hung and hardwired for a dining room or foyer.

Six etched opal glass cylinders sit on two tiers inside the open lantern and wash the room with ambient light. Each shade is about 5.5 inches tall and 3.15 inches across, so the cluster reads as a soft glow rather than bare bulbs.

• Geometric lantern cage

  A brushed nickel steel frame forms a 16-inch-wide lantern with intersecting panels and a square footprint. The open geometry keeps sightlines clear over a table while still giving the fixture a clear silhouette from every angle.

• Chain hang height

  It hangs from a matching chain, not a rod. Seventy-two inches of chain ship with it, and overall hang height can reach 65.69 inches, so you can set it over a table or in a taller foyer.

• Standard A19 bulbs

  Each socket is an E26 medium base for a standard A19 bulb, 100 watts max. Bulbs are not in the box. Put dimmable lamps in it if you want the fixture on a dimmer switch.

• Hardwired install

  This is a hardwired fixture, not a plug-in, so it wires to a junction box in the ceiling. Assembly and mounting are required. Hire an electrician if you are not comfortable with ceiling wiring.

• Sloped ceiling ready

  The canopy is about 4.72 inches wide and the hang method is chain, so the fixture works on flat or sloped ceilings. Dry-rated only: keep it indoors, away from damp baths and covered porches.

• Care and cleaning

  Wipe the metal frame with a soft dry cloth. Dust the frosted glass shades with a dry microfiber cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners that cloud the glass. Turn power off before you reach up to change a bulb.

• What ships

  You get the lantern body, six glass shades, canopy, chain, and mounting hardware. Bulbs are sold separately. The fixture weighs about 19.5 pounds, so use a rated ceiling box.
