• Warm glow through beads

  Three sockets sit inside the bead cage. When lit, light filters between the wood beads as a soft wash instead of a hard spotlight. The Cream beads stay pale; the black metal rim and chain stay in contrast.

• Hardwired ceiling install

  This fixture is hardwired to a ceiling junction box behind the canopy. It is not a plug-in. Assembly is needed, and you will mount the canopy to the box. Have an electrician make the line connections if you are not comfortable working in a junction box.

• Chain hang height

  It hangs on a 72 inch chain, and overall hanging height can reach 98 inches. Shorten the chain at install so the shade clears a dining table or sits where you want it in an entry. A sloped-ceiling adapter is required for vaulted ceilings.

• Three E26 bulbs

  It takes three E26 medium-base bulbs, 25 watts max each. Bulbs are not in the box. Use dimmable lamps only if you also install a dimmer switch; neither ships with the fixture.

• Dry location only

  The listing is dry-rated and UL listed for indoor dry rooms. Keep it out of bathrooms with shower steam, covered porches, and any wet location. It is hardwired at 120 volts.

• Dust the bead strands

  Dust the wood beads with a soft dry cloth or a vacuum brush on low, working along each strand. Wipe the black metal rim and canopy dry. Skip sprays and water on the beads so the whitewash finish stays even.

• What ships in the box

  You get the beaded shade on its iron frame, the canopy, the 72 inch chain, and the mounting hardware. Bulbs are not included. Order three E26 lamps rated 25 watts or less before install day.
