• Open square lantern

  An antique silver steel frame forms a square lantern about 12.25 inches on each side and 17.75 inches tall, with an open door panel and clear sightlines so the candle bulbs read as the glow.

• Long chain hang

  It hangs from a matching chain, not a rod. One hundred twenty inches of chain ship with it, and overall hang height runs from 17.25 to 143.75 inches, so you can set it over a table or in a tall foyer.

• Hardwired canopy

  This is a hardwired fixture, not a plug-in. It wires into a ceiling junction box behind a 1.25 by 5.25 inch canopy. Have an electrician make the connections if you are not comfortable working in a junction box.

• Sloped ceiling ready

  A sloped-ceiling adapter ships in the box, so the lantern hangs plumb on a vaulted or angled ceiling without buying a separate kit.

• Dry indoor rooms

  The listing is dry-rated for indoor rooms kept free of moisture. It is not damp-rated or wet-rated, so keep it out of baths with steam and off covered porches that see weather.

• What arrives

  The steel lantern cage, canopy, chain, sloped-ceiling adapter, and mounting hardware ship together. Bulbs and a dimmer are not included, so order three B10 candelabra lamps before install day.

• Care and dusting

  Dust the antique silver cage with a soft dry cloth. Skip abrasive cleaners and sprays that leave a film on the metal.
