• Setting it up

  Nothing is bolted together. Lift the table into place, level it on the adjustable feet, spread the lava rock across the burner tray without burying the burner itself, connect the hose to a standard propane tank and light it. Owners describe the whole job as minutes rather than an afternoon.

• Heat and flame

  The burner is rated at 50,000 BTU. A push button igniter starts it and the knob beside it runs the flame from low to high, so the heat is adjustable while you sit. The flame line runs most of the 39.25 inch trough, stopping a few inches shy of each end.

• The tank stays hidden

  It runs on a standard 20 lb propane tank, which is not included. The square piece lifts off and drops over the cylinder to hide it. There is no door in it, so turning the gas on and off means lifting the cover, and the hose is short enough that the cover needs to sit close beside the table.

• Iron, in Brushed Brown

  Both pieces are iron with a rust resistant finish, and the burning area is cast iron. Brushed Brown reads as a very dark charcoal brown, close to black, with fine brush striations catching the light. The recessed control panel is brushed stainless, the only bright element on either piece.

• Size and where it fits

  The table is 48 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 15 inches tall, so it sits at coffee table height between lounge chairs and takes up far less depth than a square fire pit. The tank cover needs its own 15.25 inch square beside it and stands 19.75 inches tall.

• Light enough to move

  The table weighs 70.77 lb and has an oblong hand slot cut into each end, so two people can carry it off the deck for winter or shift it when the seating changes. The tank cover has the same slots and lifts with one hand once the cylinder is out.

• Safety and clearance

  It is CSA certified and carries a CCIC mark, and it is for outdoor use only. Keep the space above the burner clear: no umbrella canopy, no awning, no overhanging branch. Never leave it burning unattended, keep children and pets back from the trough, and shut the gas off at the tank before you walk away.

• Care and warranty

  Wipe both pieces with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse dust off the lava rock now and then and let it dry fully before the next burn. Use the weather cover when the table is idle, and lift it after rain so water does not sit on the top. The warranty is 90 days limited, so run the burner once as soon as it arrives.
