Grevane Glenelg Lift Up Storage Bed

The Glenelg hides a second closet under the mattress. Lift the platform (the hydraulics do most of the work) and the entire footprint underneath opens up for off-season clothes, spare bedding, the suitcase you never know where to put. One motion, and nothing has to clear a nightstand first.

The frame wears beige microfiber with ribbed detailing over kiln-dried wood, metal, and plywood, pulled tight with cam bolt joinery. The back is finished, so it can float off the wall, and the slat kit carries your mattress with no box spring.

• Channel tufted low platform

  A tall, rectangular headboard runs in even vertical channels of soft beige microsuede, flat topped and smooth across each panel. The frame sits low and flush to the floor with no legs in view, and an upholstered footboard closes the foot end level with the side rails.

• Tool free slat assembly

  The slats snap into a quick lock structure with no tools required, and the headboard, footboard and rails go together with the included hardware. The hydraulic struts arrive pre attached to the platform, so there is no separate hydraulics installation once the frame is built.

• No box spring needed

  Solid and manufactured wood slats snap into place across the platform, cushioned by noise reducing strips where they meet the frame, so the mattress rests directly on top with no box spring required. Two center support legs and internal metal crossbars keep the deck steady under the load.

• Fits full to california king

  This bed comes in Full, Queen, King and California King, each platform sized specifically to that mattress, so measure what you sleep on before ordering. Interior storage runs from 54 by 75 inches on Full up to 60 by 80 inches on Queen, with King and California King larger still.

  The platform hinges at the headboard end, and gas struts lift the foot end up and back to open the storage below, so leave clearance beyond the foot of the bed for the platform to rise fully.   The maker recommends a mattress weighing up to 99 pounds on Full and Queen, and up to 121 pounds on King, to keep the hydraulic lift working smoothly. That figure is for the mattress itself, not the combined weight of the mattress, bedding and sleepers on top.

• Wipe clean fabric care

  Wipe the microsuede down with a dry cloth or a soft brush in the direction of the channels, and spot clean any marks rather than soaking the fabric. Vacuum the seams and the storage compartment occasionally so dust does not settle into the corners or hinges.

• What ships with the frame

  The headboard, footboard, side rails, the hydraulic lift struts and the full slat kit are included and arrive ready to assemble. The mattress, bedding and pillows shown in photos are not included and are sold separately from the frame.
