Grevane Gometra Boucle Platform Bed

The Gometra is the one to pick if you hate wobbly furniture. Kiln-dried wood, cam bolt joinery that pulls the frame tight, and four center legs under the middle; it stays quiet through moves, repaints, and whatever mattress comes next.

The headboard is wrapped in soft boucle, so there's a real place to lean when you read. Solid wood slats sit over the frame, rated to 800 lb with no box spring needed, and the back is finished so it looks right from any angle in the room.

• Boucle headboard natural wood

  A wide headboard splits into three horizontal channels of nubby cream boucle, framed on each side by natural pale wood posts that rise above the fabric. The same wood carries through the exposed side rails and tapered, turned legs, with the foot end left as bare wood rather than upholstered, for a relaxed, rustic look.

• Wrench included quick assembly

  A mini ratchet wrench ships in the box, so no extra tools are needed to put the frame together, typically about 30 minutes from start to finish. The legs, rails and headboard join with cam bolt hardware, the same joinery used in the kiln dried wood construction.

• No box spring needed

  Sixteen solid wood slats sit about 2.7 inches apart across the frame, so the mattress rests directly on top with no box spring required. Four center support legs run down the middle to keep the slats from sagging, extending the life of the mattress resting on them.

• Fits full and queen

  This bed comes in Full and Queen only, each frame sized specifically to that mattress, so measure what you sleep on before ordering; it is not offered in King or larger. The frame suits mattresses from 8 to 11 inches thick, a narrower range than many platform beds, so check your mattress first.

• Low clearance natural height

  The headboard rises 24 inches above the frame, with the overall piece standing 47.2 inches tall including the posts, while the open frame keeps 9.84 inches of clearance underneath. That gap fits a slim bin or lets a sweeper pass through, though it will not clear a tall storage box.

• Solid and manufactured wood, boucle

  The frame is kiln dried, built from solid and manufactured wood with MDF, finished on every side including the back. The headboard itself is upholstered in a nubby polyester boucle, while the exposed rails and tapered legs show the natural wood grain.

• Weight capacity by size

  The frame holds 700 pounds on Full and 800 on Queen, supported by four center legs, each about 2.6 inches thick, that run down the middle in addition to the corner posts. That capacity covers the mattress, bedding and sleepers together, not the frame alone.

• Wipe clean boucle care

  Wipe the wood frame down with a soft, dry cloth to keep the natural finish looking clean, and vacuum the boucle headboard with a low suction, soft brush attachment to lift dust from the loops without flattening the texture. Spot clean any marks on the fabric right away.

• What ships with the bed

  The headboard, side rails, four legs, the ratchet wrench and the full set of solid wood slats are included and arrive ready to assemble. The mattress, bedding and pillows shown in photos are not included and are sold separately from the frame.

Good to know

• The Queen footprint is 64.2″ by 85.2″. Walking room on either side comes on top of that.
• Full and Queen are both 47.2″ tall. Anything on that wall has to sit above it.
• Under-frame clearance is 9.84″. Measure a storage bin before you count on it fitting.
