The metal frame from the old apartment does not survive this move. A tufted linen panel sits inside a walnut wood surround, and on the King the bed stands 50.2 inches at its tallest point. Underneath, 6.5 inches of clearance on the King takes the bins and the shoes.

Solid rubberwood carries the frame, with solid wood slats and two center support legs rated to 1,200 pounds, so the mattress goes straight down and no box spring is needed. The back is finished, so the bed can sit off the wall.

• Rectangular tufted headboard

  A rectangular headboard sits inside a walnut toned wood frame that continues down into the side rails, with a button tufted linen panel set inside the surround. Slim tapered legs hold the bed low to the floor, and the back is fully finished, so the frame looks finished from either side of the room.

• Straightforward frame assembly

  The headboard, side rails and center support legs arrive as separate pieces and go together with the included hardware. Basic tools are all that is needed, and the slat kit locks in afterward so the mattress has a finished, ready to use base.

• No box spring required

  Solid wood slats span the frame in two roll up sections and rest on center support legs, 5 on Full and Queen and 8 on King, so the mattress sits directly on top with no box spring needed. The frame also works with a compatible adjustable base if you prefer one.

• Fits full queen and king

  This bed is built in Full, Queen and King, each sized to match that mattress exactly, so check what you already sleep on before ordering. It fits mattresses from 10 to 16 inches thick, so a plush pillow top or a slimmer memory foam mattress both sit correctly on the included slats.

• 6.3 inch floor clearance

  The frame stands about 50 inches tall overall, with the tufted headboard doing most of that height above a low platform base. Underneath, there is 6.3 inches of clearance beneath the side rail, enough for flat storage bins but not deep enough for rolling storage boxes or bulky bins underneath.

• Walnut wood and linen

  The frame and headboard surround are solid rubberwood finished in a warm walnut tone, paired with a button tufted linen panel across the headboard face. The linen has a soft, textured weave in a light, neutral shade that reads calm against the darker wood.

• Weight capacity by size

  The frame is rated to hold 1,000 pounds on Queen and 1,200 pounds on King, supported by the center legs underneath in addition to the side rails and corner posts. That capacity covers the mattress, bedding and sleepers together, not just the frame on its own.

• Wipe clean linen care

  Wipe the wood frame down with a soft, dry cloth to keep the walnut finish looking clean, and spot clean the linen headboard with a mild solution as needed. Vacuum the tufted seams occasionally with a brush attachment so dust does not build up in the buttons.

• What ships with the bed
